Birds not coming to my bird feeder?

I’ve had a bird feeder for quite a few years now hanging in the same spot of the same tree the whole time. It was only until 4 days ago that I decided to refill it with birdseed. Since then, I haven’t seen one single bird, only an occasional squirrel. What can I do to attract birds? I was thinking that since I’ve kept the bird feeder there unfilled they might have habituated to it. Should I change the position?

Why did the birds quit coming to my bird feeder? It used to attract everything in the woods but nothing now.?

I had the birdfeeder in a tree at first but had to take it down because of squirrels – turkeys, etc. Everything jumped from my porch into the feeder. I then hung the feeder in another tree. I put a homemade baffle on it (a large plastic planter with a hole drilled in the middle). The “baffle” came to the middle of the feeder and larger birds (Northern Cardinals) couldn’t get to the seed. I saw everything in the feeder including squirrels. I changed the baffle so I can see the birds better and to let the larger birds in and to maybe prevent the squirrels from getting in. I have not seen one bird since. It has been rainy for a few days – could that be it? Or is it the new baffle?

the genetic code for an oak tree is…..?

which one?
- more similar to an ash tree than to a squirrel
- more similar to a chipmunk than to a maple tree
- more similar to a mosquito than to an elm tree
- exactly the same as for an octopus

Do squirrels go in bird baths?

I’m looking to buy my mother a hanging bird bath for Christmas. However the squirrels in our backyard already love trying to get into her existing bird feeder and bird house, etc. My question is, might they try and jump from the tree into the hanging bird bath? Do squirrels even like water? We do try to keep the squirrels away from the bird area in the backyard but i wonder if the hanging birdbath would have any bearing on this?

Brad & Suburban Wildlife Control star in Billy the Exterminator – Part 1 – Raccoons in a Tree Fort!

Brad stars along with Billy the Exterminator filmed right here in Illinois, as Brad and Billy take on real Suburban Wildlife Control jobs. The two have a blast fetching raccoon mothers and babies out of tree forts (Part I) and chimneys (Part III) and hand capturing a family of squirrels on the loose in someone’s home (Part II).

What’s the difference in me shooting squirrels out of the tree tops around the house or shooting in the air..?

..to celebrate the 4th of July (Independence Day)? I use the same low base, 12 gauge with #8 shot. I usually have a more angled trajectory when shooting squirrels, which according to the armchair munnitions experts on here, is more dangerous than shooting straight up. Funny we all hunt in the woods together and even my 85 y/o father can never remember being hurt by falling shot. They feel like rain drops to me.
My father has never been dove hunting in his life. I am not talking about bird hunting in open feilds. I am talking about squirrel hunting in the tops of 75-100 ft tall hardwood trees.
We live in a wooded community of about 100 residents. The houses in our area are about 1/8 mile apart. I kill deer right in our back yard with an SKS.

Whats going on with these birds?

I bought a Bird Feeder with the Store Name Brand (TrueValue, if you ever heard of it) and then I put the feeder in a tree, gave them a bird bath, and I kept it clean. Then birds started coming and they have been eating soo much! I had to buy a 20pound bag. I have never seen any other animals like squirrels.

Ok, at 2:00 i filled it then at 7:00
this much was gone:
