I’m looking to buy my mother a hanging bird bath for Christmas. However the squirrels in our backyard already love trying to get into her existing bird feeder and bird house, etc. My question is, might they try and jump from the tree into the hanging bird bath? Do squirrels even like water? We do try to keep the squirrels away from the bird area in the backyard but i wonder if the hanging birdbath would have any bearing on this?
my dog got a hold of a squirrel somhow…. i got it from him and put it in a safe spot… he has made small movements like hopping once and the falling again… he is breathing and his eyes are open… i have noticed a wound on his leg that is infested with fly eggs and more fly eggs in his nose…. i have been fanning off the flies but when i stop the flys return and continue to lay eggs… i think my dog must have found him on the ground instead of catching him in a hunt… my only guess is that the squirrel fell and is now unable to move much… i thought his spine was injured at first but i’v seen him move his body but maybe his neck is broken and his head cant move… i havnt yet seen him move his head…. he must have been down for a while since so many fly eggs are in him… any suggestions? will he live or are the fly eggs a sign? don’t say things like it’s just a squirrel… b/c iv heard that enough
I put out 2 wild bird feeders, same food in both. The birds are flocking to the one feeder in the front yard, but are ignoring the one in the back yard. They are both placed close to trees and are the kind that hang on a pole. Any ideas why? I have another feeder in the backyard and the birds eat from it, as do the squirrels.
im not an anti-hunter. hunting for food and pest control is understandable, but i have a few questions for you hunters. take a look at this video.

supposedly, that is private land, but they are still shooting from the road with a loaded vehicle in the car, is this illegal or legal? i got nothing against it, but im just curious. also, prairie dogs are pests right? is it normal for people to laugh when shooting them? im just curious thanks guys. i noticed a lot of hunting videos on youtube with young kids hunting rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, woodpeckers, birds, etc. are these animals edible, can you eat them?
my mom has a bird feeder on our deck. the squirrels usually come up and eat from it. lately i’ve been noticing that the squirrels are extremely mangy looking. most of them either have bald spots on their back or things that look like abscesses on their spine. i even found a squirrel tail on my deck the other day… are these squirrels diseased? what’s wrong with them?

Can that co2 pistol kill a squirrel? It shoots .177 steel bb’s at 480 fps i will shoot the squirrel multiple times from a distance ranging from 10-50 feet please answer this question i have pest problems
