My St. Bernard is extremely territorial and goes nuts when he sees another dog, person, squirrel, ant, flying piece of paper, anything that moves. He goes beserk. However, in the house, with the family, he is so sweet, laid back and loving. If someone passes by and he sees them out the window, I fear he will break the glass on the window because he hurls himself at the glass and barks and goes crazy. He already broke through thick frosted glass because he saw something outside, (or he thought he saw something.) If someone approaches myself or a member of the family, he lunges at them. My husband is the only person who can control him (barely) on the leash, and must throw his body over him to restrain him when he acts up. I feel so bad for him because I want him to be outside and enjoy his walks, but he is so heinous, I’m scared he will knock someone down. He is extremely strong. He even went to obedience training for 15 days (he did not come home for 15 days). Please help.
