Do you have a beloved pet that you’ve lost that you miss so much it hurts? Share with me a fun memory and make us both smile?

I had the World Best Dog she was my everything. A Black Lab/Pit Bull named Lady. She had 16 happy, loves and spoiled years of making me smile. I taught her words. Like “Where’s the squirrel?”
She’d high tail it and run the fence growling lookin’ for that squirrel!
And she always entertain me when I said “Lady, get the fly!” She’d pop up here ears and listen, cocking her head back and forth and by golly every time she’d find that fly…she’d hunt that nasty varment down..racing in every room listening for it until she caught.

Awesome dog…I needed that smile!

This entry for NewScientist proves that squirrels don’t smell nuts. A squirrel’s memory is phenomenal. If you try this experiment at home it is important to distinguish between different squirrels. In this experiment there were three of them. All three squirrels exhibited the same memory traits: They always returned to the same position. Collectively they made over 300 separate trips and seemed to work as a team to systematically clear the hoard of nuts. Here is a link to NewScientist’s …
