I have one of Foamy’s squirrel songs stuck in my head, and its been in my head for about 2 days. I don’t know if I am amused or annoyed. But if I sing it out loud, my family will think I am insane.

im going to hunt in the woods tonight at 7 o clock for squirrels with my lever action .22 rifle with shoerts not long rifle. only 710 fps with 29 grain bullet but it will kill one. anyways any tips should i sit and wait? do i hit him in the head or behind the shoulder?what range can i safely kill him it probably wont kill him from real far away (75 yard).
Sorry I don’t have a picture, but there is a bird on my feeder that has burgundy or ruby colored head and chest. The rest of his body is dark colored (black). Any ideas? It is beautiful. I live in Northwest Florida. The birds we see regularly are black-capped chickadees, cardinals, tufted titmouse, house wrens, and the occasional blue jay. Oh don’t forget the SQUIRRELS, but only on the feeders that aren’t squirrel proof. I’m ready for the hummingbirds too, but I haven’t seen any yet this year.
If you could provide a link to a picture so I can compare please that would be appreciated. What a pretty bird! The colors are magnificent on the bird on my feeder!

my dog got a hold of a squirrel somhow…. i got it from him and put it in a safe spot… he has made small movements like hopping once and the falling again… he is breathing and his eyes are open… i have noticed a wound on his leg that is infested with fly eggs and more fly eggs in his nose…. i have been fanning off the flies but when i stop the flys return and continue to lay eggs… i think my dog must have found him on the ground instead of catching him in a hunt… my only guess is that the squirrel fell and is now unable to move much… i thought his spine was injured at first but i’v seen him move his body but maybe his neck is broken and his head cant move… i havnt yet seen him move his head…. he must have been down for a while since so many fly eggs are in him… any suggestions? will he live or are the fly eggs a sign? don’t say things like it’s just a squirrel… b/c iv heard that enough

The last 3 nights I’ve been hearing loud scratching above my head in my bedroom. It sounds too big to be a squirrel so I’m thinking its raccoons. The only problem is I have no way of getting up there to look. There is no trap door or crawlspace that leads to the space above my head in the bedroom, so I can’t set humane traps. The exterminator said he can’t be here until some time midweek and I’m afraid they will come into the bedroom. Any suggestions on what I may be able to do until then? I have a one year old in the house and I really don’t want her to get hurt if they get in to the house.
