Hey, I’m gonna be doing squirrel hunting come this summer. I need a new gun XD. Right now I’m stuck with a 410 Snakecharmer shotgun.. lol. I obviously don’t know much about guns, and that’s why I’m asking. What would be a good gun for hunting Squirrels? Or maybe Rabbits.
I am about to buy my first shotgun and I am thinking about the Remington 870 turkey/deer combo and I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has that gun and what they think about it? I am a short girl but I don’t want a youth model because I want a 12 gauge. So if anyone has any suggestions or anything please let me know!! Thanks! Your answers are appreciated! Oh, wait I forgot to say that I will be doing my turkey/squirrel/coon/bird/ maybe deer hunting with this gun!! lol! If that helps any!
yes, I did mean express its a remington 870 express turkey/deer combo and I was talking to my dads friend about it also and he said he put a extended full turkey choke on his like you said…if I said that right! I appreciate your answers!!!
I recently bought a .177 caliber remington airrifle and it works ok at shooting squirrels and birds but it takes atleast 2 shots to kill a chipmunk and atleast 3 to kill a squirrel. I know i’m not shooting it on the wrong places because I shot a squirrel i in the chest a few times and it was still alive. Then I shot a bird and it acted dead but when I went up to it, it just walked away. Couldn’t fly though. I was doing research and someone said “I switched to a .22 caliber pellet gun because it is better to hunt with.” Should I switch to a .22 caliber pellet gun? Will it really make a difference?
my grandpa is a HUGE gun collector so he buys property to shoot his guns and i have a couple myself and so we have about 250 acres in Oklahoma and i’ve never been and want to go and do a little squirrel hunting there but i dont know what kinds of trees are there so will know what to look for please help and i think its in the south-western reigon

alright i just want a straight forward answer. I have a crosman G1 extreme pellet gun. I am using ballistic tipped pellets… they are .177 caliber. can i kill a squirrel in one shot because that was why the gun was bought. We enjoy having birds around so we have 2 or 3 feeders by our back porch that get Absolutely demolished by squirrels. They are probably 4 or 5 squirrels at a time. The only problem is that my dad bought the pellet gun to shoot them when he sees them and finds fit. I have a air soft sniper that well im not gonna lie. Its pretty damn nice. It does about 450 fps. I use .24 precision bbs. I have hit the squirrel everywhere from the head to the tail and they wont die.
So i guess my questions are:
1. will an air soft sniper kill it (p.s im getting metal hunting bbs that are pretty heavy i think .40 grams
( i take the shot anywhere from 7 feet to 20)
also will it require hunting bbs
2. will a pellet gun like that take em out instantly?

i want to buy some great shooting .22 ammo. i just got a marlin model 60 with scope. i sighted it in at about 15-20 yards. i mainly hunt squirrels, rabbits, birds, stray cats and dogs, and small game. what is the best .22lr ammo that i should buy for this gun and the things i will be hunting/shooting. please make a table or chart listing small game that i could shoot and kill with a .22 and list beside it what type of ammo like (Federal value pack 550 rounds hp or round nose). please list and describe what ammo i should use and thanks for answering. also what do you think would be a reasonable amount of yards to sight in my 4 x 20 scope for my .22 THANKS FOR ANSWERING!!!!
