We have a corn plant coming up under our feeder. It must have come from the corn that we used to feed to the squirrels. Does anyone know what type it is? It looks different from the regular field corn in my area.

The corn hasn’t started developing, so I don’t know what it will look like. Could it be a hybrid of some kind?

I shoot a .308 cal bolt action and have become quite proficient at punching holes in paper targets out to 100 yards. I would really like an opportunity to get out into the field and “stretch out” my rifle and test my aim a bit. I fish in the area quite often and see ground squirrels galore. If there are any clubs of similar interest or farmers open to the ideal, please feel free to let me know. I am respectful, mature and law abidding.

A father and son went hunting together for the first time. The father said “Stay here and be very QUIET, I’ll be across the field” A short time later, the father heard a bloodcurdling scream and ran to his son. “what’s wrong??” the father asked. “I told you to be quiet”. The boy answered, “Look.. I was quiet when the snake slithered across my feet. I was quiet when the bear breathed down my neck. I didn’t move a muscle when the skunk climbed over my shoulder. I closed my eyes and held my breath when the wasp stung me. I didn’t cough when I swallowed the gnat. I didn’t cuss or scratch when the poison oak started itching. But when the squirrels crawled up my pant legs and said “should we eat them here or take them with us?” .. Well i guess i just panicked.”
Funny squirrel sabotages a baseball game
Got our first snowfall of the season and used the fresh powder to track up a good fox squirrel to a tree. Video also includes how to clean the critter after the harvest.
I hate the pople that think their theories of animal cruelty are correct. they think dog fighting is simalar to hunting? How stupid! Deer arent gambled upon and forced to kill each other! Deer are overpopulated and will eventaully starve to death if we dont hunt them, and they eat so many crops, they can ruin the yeild of one field for a year. Two years ago, my family had a 110 acre field that made less than a 65 acre field because of animals eating the corn! Coyotes and foxes are mangy animals that bother pets, and can bother livestock. I dont care how cute and cudly you think they are, let me know and i will hapily trap one, and throw it in my truck, bring it to your door step and show you excatly what i mean! Have you ever seen a squirrel in a foot trap? I caught one accidentally a year ago and it would have chewed my foot off if i let it, yet they are cute and cuddly furry little animals.
Anyone else have the same views?
