Hunting DFW?

Hi, everyone. I’m a 26 year old African American male who loves hunting. I grew up in hunting in Mississippi and I have been hunting since the age of 8. I moved to the DFW area to attend UNT .The probably that i’m having is that I love hunting and every since I moved here I can’t find anyone who loves to hunt. I love to hunt everything from Deer to squirrel. So the game wouldn’t be a problem. So I was wondering, if there were any hunting clubs in the DFW area that I could join, that wouldn’t have a problem with an african american male hunting with them, it’s ashame that i have to mention that, but lets be honest with ourselves, its an issue with some people.

Do raccoons live in redwood trees?

we just got 12 acres of redwood tree forest expecting loads of animals. but to our surprise we havent seen anything but birds, squirrels, deer and skunk. it seems like there should be lots of raccoons but ive been out all over looking and havent had any luck. i may just be ill informed on how to hunt raccoons since i was hunting them in chicago, and all you need to do there is toss a piece of bread out and you have at least two coons there in half an hour.

Think this winter’s going to be bad?

My Grandma always used to say nature sometimes predicts how the winter is going to be. I’m thinking this year we’re going to have a cold winter in NW Ohio. We’ve got an ant problem in our apartment, not just our apartment either a few others have complaied about the ants in their apartments as well, the squirrels are out of control tearing everything apart to get food. We’ve had ants in our apartment before but nothing like this. the maintenance guy has sprayed for them several times when in all the past 4 yrs we’ve lived here he’s only had to spray once a year. The Squirrels have been a nuisance before but this year it’s crazy, almost everybody’s bird feeder has been ripped to shreds by them. People by the parks are complaining about the deer eating everything in their flower and vegetable gardens. Locusts have started their noises the first week of July when they usually start around the 3-4 week of July. Kind of seems like the animals are getting ready for a long cold winter.

How is the hunting and what are the gun laws in Australia?

How easy is it to buy a rifle in Australia? What are the requirements to own one? What is the hunting like? I am just curious now but I have always been fascinated by the land down under and would love to travel there, maybe move there if I could talk my wife into it. Hunting is one of my hobbies. I live in the central U.S. now and I hunt deer, rabbits, squirrel.

Boxing, Hunting Game, Cock fighting, Dog fighting, What’s the big deal?

You pay to see two people fight in a ring and beat the s**t out each other (some have died), you go out hunting and kill animals for whatever reason (Deer, Bucks, Squirrels, Moose, Bear) and use the head for a trophy. You may have fish as pets but, go fishing and eat them. If dog fighting was legal, would it be ok then? Had you ever had a drink and then drove? How do you feel about drunk driving? My point is this, people always judge other folks without looking at themselves first. I have two full bread Rotts (132lbs and 147lbs) and love them like family. I’m NOT a Vick fan. However, I think that the bashing is dumb. We are all human and make mistakes in life. Stop acting like you are Jesus himself and know that GOD created us in the image of himself. I’m not protecting Vick just don’t like the bashers.
YOU NEED TO READ VERY CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON’T CARE FOR VICK AT ALL……….. I’M NOT JUDGING HIM OR ANYONE ELSE…………I UNDERSTAND YOUR POINT WITH THE RELIGION AND APOLOGIZE FOR THAT.

Can you believe there is a law in Rhode Island PROHIBITING you from feeding the birds in your own back yard?

I live in the country and love to throw sun flower seeds and thistle on the ground near my house to feed the birds. The DEM came to my door today and told me to stop. Only elevated bird/squirrel feeders within 100 feet of my house is allowed. They say deer may come and eat the seed and feeding wild deer is against the law. What can I do? HELP!
