Does this squirrel have rabies?
It was laying in the grass and its tail was fully paralized, its back legs were halfway paralyzed, and it looked like it was loosing control in its front legs too. It was bleeding from somewhere that I couldnt tell. Its teeth were red and sometimes it would chatter its teeth almost like it was cold. It kept running his front legs like he was trying to get away. And it looked like it was trying to eat grass.
Im wondering because the squirrel did bite me. It wasnt making a chattering sound it was just chattering its teeth like it was shivering and cold which I heard was a symptom of rabies.
pest control in apt..where do i complain?
there’s some kinda crack in my apt i don’t know where…squirrel came in my apt for 4th times…every time i complain and the apt maintainance sent pest crontrol twice..but there is another one tonight..i m really scared as i live in a studio apt and no door to my bed room..so i stay up all night fearing tht something will come and bite me..last time i saw another one i complained 3 days ago and they still haven’t sent anyone fix the problem…now i want to complain higher offices…so you know where to complain for this kind of problem? i live in austin…
They found a rabid raccoon in my neighborhood; which areas should I avoid?
So, there was a dead raccoon on the road, Animal Control picked it up and it has rabies. I’m keeping the dogs inside as much as I can, but they *do* have to go out sometimes. At night (~11 or 12), would it be better to go right outside the house into a sparsely forested area, or out to the road and onto the road shoulder next to a heavily forested area for the dogs to do their business? Or would it be better to take them to the backyard (no trees)? I understand I’m going to have to be alert and careful in all the places, but which is least likely to house a rabid raccoon/squirrel/bat?
