I have a bird feeder on a thin pole. Squirrels climb it. How can I stop them? Shooting is not an option.?
This squirrel ate some fermented pumpkins and turns into the town drunk, trying and failing to climb a tree, then chasing his tail in circles. What a lightweight.

This one squirrel has gotten so bold that he comes into my yard and climbs my sreeen door in his quest for food. He runs all the birds away from my bird feeders and is a real pain in the butt. I do believe that I’m being extorted by this Tree Rat, as he waits for food like he knows I’m holding back on something he wants. Killing is not an option ( Yet ).
I need a solution to stop the squirrels from climbing the thin iron Sheperd’s pole …. after the small bird feeder. Any solutions? They climb the pole so easily and clean out the feed in no time flat. Thanks all for any suggestions.

One feeder is standing on a pole and up they climb to get to the feeder. Have already tried WD-40 and vaseline on the pole. Didn’t work. The other one is hanging from a branch in a tree and they climb the tree, walk on the branch and down the feeder to eat. Bird seed is costly and they are driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance.
