Years ago as a child, I was squirrel hunting and this huge bird came swooping down (I could hear the air-flowing across its wings) landed in an oak. On a limb a least 4 inches in diameter
It was heavy enough to make the limb move. (enough to make the bird flap it wings to regain balance) Sitting there I felt more like prey than a hunter. I was scared to shoot it, for fear I might just make it mad. I left the area walking backwards till I was out of sight of the bird. (It was not scared) On the show they interviewed a guy who had been picked-up about 1 foot off the ground as a child in IL. He was about 60 lbs. at the time. His Mom seen the bird also………..

Found a bird in Africa that ate Primates
estimated to 30lbs. in weight(the primate not the bird) from bones below this Eagles nest.
