i have a ruger 10/22, and i would like to go small game hunting, like squirrels, rabbits and stuff like that, however i live in pa. and i do not have a bolt, lever or pump action rifle. is there any way that i could make my ruger 10/22legal to hunt with in pa. aka make it bolt action.???

1. what 22 rifle should i get for small game / brand? pricing? semi- auto, bolt action, lever?
2. for small game like rabbit’s n squirrel’s do i need hunter safety courses and/or a hunting license in west virginia?
3. is there a certain season in west virginia for squirrel’s n rabbits that i am required to hunt for and not allowed to hunt? whats the best months for hunting small game?

im going to hunt in the woods tonight at 7 o clock for squirrels with my lever action .22 rifle with shoerts not long rifle. only 710 fps with 29 grain bullet but it will kill one. anyways any tips should i sit and wait? do i hit him in the head or behind the shoulder?what range can i safely kill him it probably wont kill him from real far away (75 yard).
Im fixin to buy a high powered long range rifle. Not sure which one yet but it will be powerful and bolt action.
Anyways, ive hunted small game and pests like squirrel and armadillos but nothing bigger. I am inn Tennessee. There are coyotes all over my farm. I hear them every night there. So i want to shoot em. They are smart enough not to come running to the door, but they get close. Ive tried just sneakin up on em but they have such great hearing that run off before i get there every time.
How do i do this? What time of day do i set up, and should i use some kind of bait to attract em? And if so what kind? Where should i go to set up? ( Edge of a field, in a field, in the woods, by the creek? )

hi, i have a remington pump action .177 pellet gun that shoots around 800-900 F.P.S. what is the best type of pellet for hunting squirrel? flat, pointed, hollow? also, my state is having a population overgrowth of squirrel, so they are encouraging just general back-yard hunting to help control the squirrel population so i pretty much have full permission.

I shoot a .308 cal bolt action and have become quite proficient at punching holes in paper targets out to 100 yards. I would really like an opportunity to get out into the field and “stretch out” my rifle and test my aim a bit. I fish in the area quite often and see ground squirrels galore. If there are any clubs of similar interest or farmers open to the ideal, please feel free to let me know. I am respectful, mature and law abidding.
