.177 is acceptable, anything over 650 fps with a clean shot at close range. Preferably something like a Crosman Quest, 1000 fps with .177 and it should come with a 4×32 scope for $99. That would be my choice, have one and it shoots true once its broken in. Check Wal Mart for the gun, get some Crosman premiers (domed) with it too. Wal Mart also has the Beeman SS1000-S for like $125. It comes with a .177 and a .22 barrel, if you can afford the extra few bucks, this will get the job done too. Also the Crosman Pumpmaster 66 for around $45 (this is the most efficient for the least amount of $$$. You can vary power up to 650 fps) Just try and keep all shots within 30 yards or so if possible. If Wal Mart doesn’t have either, check with Big 5, they’re great too. And even more, Big 5 should have the Crosman 1377C for around $55. A larger pneumatic handgun, single shot .177, up to 700+ fps with a few extra pumps. It’s up to you! Distance, go with the Quest or Beeman, close range (15-25 yards) the 1377C will do brilliantly. If you want to go in between, get the 1377C and put a shoulder stock on it for up to 35 yards or so! Have fun!

A .22 is your best bet, probably a rugar 10/22, their quick their accurate and their semi-automatic!! but if you cannot use a rifle, i would suggest a .22 caliber pellet gun, the more speed the better, but if its a one time use don’t spend much more then $100, find a friend that has one or wants one and go in on it with them if you have to!

anything over 750fps works but 1000fps and over is more humane good luck
