Qué temazo!!! Me encanta el aroma de clásicos a los que hace referencia (Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong) y a su vez la frescura que aporta. QUÉ BUENO!!

Until today, I’d never heard of the Squirrel Nut Zippers. They’re great! I’ve always LOVED this type of music.

This group is,and was, incredible. I miss them very much and wish they had continued on. A friend and I had the great chance to see them live once and it was a show un-like any other. What talented and dedicated musicians they were- taking up a mixture of music not seen in pop music- ever! Brilliant group well-deserving of all of their fine accolades!!

I just started listening to these guys today thanks to Streetlight Manifesto’s cover of “Hell”. They’re phenomenal! I’d heard their name before and I regret not taking a listen sooner. I’d love to hear one of their songs put in Bioshock.

I probably would have been a Ska fan if the Ska fans that I knew weren’t a bunch of absolutely pretentious pricks who thought that Ska was the end-all-be-all of music. They constantly trashed me for liking Classic Rock, which pretty much turned me away from them for good.

@loqutor I adore ska, but I love other types of music too. Whoever those people are are dumb. Don’t let them ruin your taste in music, or the genre they supposedly stand for. That said, these guys are swing.
Swing revival, to be exact. I love them! They actually inspired the lead singer/writer of Streetlight Manifesto, a ska band.

@punker333 Maybe their being Ann Arbor kids had more to do with it than their being Ska kids.

@Jaiexx Weird thing is, Tomas classifies Streetlight as “Hardcore Jazz” and doesn’t see his work as Ska. It’s weird to think that they arn’t ska, but at the same time his discription makes sense.
