  7. This group is fantastic. ‘sure hope they come to Toronto sometime.
I really don’t get the negative comments. If it’s not you’re style of music fine, but why the need for personal attacks? Anyway, five stars from me. *****

  10. hey HC,i agree love them since their CD HOT,all songs r great! never saw them on vid or live, too bad the lack of coordination in the lip-synch,as for her..i don’t like her look on this vid,her face looks huge this is why some say she’s a man, as 4 the attacks, darling these r young silly people with nothing else 2 do,they don’t even mean it but they need the reactions like yours,so pay them no heed,SNZ started well but the follow up CD flopped;not 2 good i bought it,& played it once! they tried!

  11. Thanks jstfacts4u. Good advice. I’ve got “Hot” and “The Inevitable Squirrel Nut Zippers”. ‘love them both. Katherin does a lot more lead singing on the latter.

I’ve listened to this and swing danced hundreds of times to this addicting-as-crack song.

I think I got it from a Miller’s Outpost Christmas CD that came with some wretched pair of corduroys I got in the mid/late “90s…

I’ve been loving SNZ for about 10 years now, because they’re all great jazz players, and even more so because they are incredibly good and credible at portraying stories that were typical during WW2, in the early 40s, and their music brings me back to that very magic time, to Nazi-occupied Europe, and I get lost in their music imagining our soldiers listening to this stuff, during their free time, and then leaving for Europe to fight the Third Reich….
    Very intense feelings, for me….

I just saw the SNZ’s at Cain Park in Cleveland this last weekend. Unfortunately their violin player wasn’t present, but the band soldiered on with decorum. They asked the crowd for a request, I screamed BLUE ANGEL and LOW DOWN MAN, and they played ‘em. They played for over 2 hours(15 mins intermission),left, only to return with a 3 song encore. After the show they signed autographs and I got my picture taken with Jimbo and Katharine. Very gracious. It was a fairy tale evening. I love you SNZ’s!
