Do you have a beloved pet that you’ve lost that you miss so much it hurts? Share with me a fun memory and make us both smile?
I had the World Best Dog she was my everything. A Black Lab/Pit Bull named Lady. She had 16 happy, loves and spoiled years of making me smile. I taught her words. Like “Where’s the squirrel?”
She’d high tail it and run the fence growling lookin’ for that squirrel!
And she always entertain me when I said “Lady, get the fly!” She’d pop up here ears and listen, cocking her head back and forth and by golly every time she’d find that fly…she’d hunt that nasty varment down..racing in every room listening for it until she caught.
Awesome dog…I needed that smile!
Your turn to smile…
SmileyCat : )
My cat once brought me a mouse, as a trophy.
I was in bed, no glasses, when I saw her enter the room and drop her “present” on the floor. Just as I realized that she had caught the mouse from our pantry, it moved!
I grabbed my glasses and a container as fast as I could move, and that critter went into the outside garbage can really fast.
My cat kept giving me dirty looks for a day or so for taking away her “toy”.

I can top the first cat story…
My beloved cat brought in a mouse once and ate it under the kitchen table. At least she knew where she was supposed to do it.
She was quite the little hunter ~ mice, bugs, birds, lizards, garden snakes, frogs, and even a baby rabbit once. And she didn’t just kill them, she played with them first. She found a mouse in the garage once and batted it around for about 30 minutes before she ate it. She must have loved us a lot because there was a carcass on the doorstep almost every day. What a good kitty.
