@1mike122 I go more off of smok. If you have smoke then you have oil to lubricate the sleeve and cool the engine. Its more like 30 to 60 seconds. The reason being is that you need the oil and fuel to help cool the engine. Nitro engines are not very efficient in that realm. Its why engine selection on race tracks is important.

@nitrosport5 Hakko- Get the variable tip temp as well that gets up to 900 degrees on a medium sized tip.

@themfknightrider420 Get some CowRC motor cleaner (or Trinity motor blast) and spray that on the brushed motor. That will clean on the debris off and then silicone spray the motor. After that, be sure to true the comm and also replace the brushes as needed. Your motor, if you can open the can, can be rebuilt.

ive got a question, why do people not recommend aluminum shock towers for stadium trucks/short course trucks/etc, when 1/8 scale buggies/truggies all have them and hold up just fine, or at least i believe they do due to the fact that i have rarely heard of anyone snapping theirs on their buggy/truggy. if it works for them why not SC and such?

@gruzergrub5000 because if u get in to a crash it will bend not bend and flex back or brake. once bent always bent. its a wast of money
Report this comment
yeah i know that, but then why isnt it a problem for 1/8 buggies/truggies? they all come factory with alum shock towers. if it works for them why not anything else?

Hey Squirrel do you know any way that i can fix an internal one way bearing? i bought a brand new one and a new shaft and after one tank it starts to slip.

i asked about nitro trucks before in a pm. i think im going to be shooting for a rustler vxl as of now because ive already got 90% of the equipment i need to run it and i can get my speed fix with that. i do really want a nitro truck tho. i like the revo for its parts availability at my lhs but i really like the savage x too. i guess when i have the money and can commit to buy, ill have to make the decision but for now im thinking the rustler is my next step. i do want bigger tires on it tho…
