This is a trick! He shuts off the camera then he tells the squirrel to look under the yellow cup and then he turns the camera back on and of course the squirrel looks under the yellow cup now that he`s been told where the nut is!

I house i lived in near the ocean in canada. i had squirrels ever year when the walnuts came out. they worked in a tem of 4. there was one brought them from the tree to another who ran across the top of fence to another, that would then take to there stock pile for the winter.they did it every year.

yeah, except the yellow cups at the end still have the smell of nuts. He should put nuts in all of the cuts, then remove them.

nice research! It’s incredible the memory of such small animals with smaller brains. And we humans tend to forget things quite often lol
