Coon hunting is something I really enjoy.
Many people,when I tell them that, look at me funny.
I am guessing that is because I am a girl, but that doesn’t matter to me.
Hunting relaxes me when I have been stressed or upset about something.
I also enjoy squirrel hunting.
When the weather starts cooling down,and the leaves start turning colors, I get really happy inside.
Fall is my favorite season because it is so pretty and I know hunting season is near.
To me,nothing else matters while i’m in the woods hunting.
I think everyone should try going in the woods somewhere when their unhappy,angry,or stressed.
Its a very calm and peaceful place to be.
Help with a stray cat?
There is a stray cat in my neighborhood. We don’t know the gender, age or breed. s/he has medium/long black and white fur and yellow eyes.
I’ve done some breed research and I have compared her to different breeds and believe she is one of, or a mix of the following breeds:
Ragamuffin
Ragdoll
Main Coon –very likely
Siberian- very likely
Turkish Angora
Turkish Van
s/he is very pretty. We see her hunting and carrying dead birds and squirrels all of the time, but we think she may belong to a neighbor.
I want to get this cat to trust me, and that way when we find out if she belongs to somone or not, if she doesn’t she can get adopted!
I brought a slice of turkey outside to where she was, and when standing like six feet away tossed it near her. she looked at me, but soon went up to go sniff it. I snapped some pictures with the flash, that I thnk frightened her. She sniffed the turkey, then walked back to where she was sitting.
She meowed occasionally, we werre about ten feet apart, but she showed no want to run.
Actual Question:
I read something that said feral cats wont eat in front of you.
is this true?
Do you think s/he is feral?
How can I gain her/his trust if she wont eat the food I give her?
Also, if she is an unspayed she-cat, is there a kitten season?
Would she be pregnant now, or would it be most likely that she wouldn’t be?
because if she is pregnant and a stray, we have to get her off the streets now, and spay her!
I wish very much that I could adopt her, but u unfortunately I have a cat of my own. A fourteen year old male persian mix, who is sweet to humans, but quite cat aggressive.
If my parents said I could, I would work with the two cats, but I don’t think that they would agree.

Bird feeder baffle does not baffle this squirrel
May 16, 2010 We have tried everything to keep the squirrels from eating from this bird feeder…longer pole, ‘squirrel baffle’ and so far nothing is working.
Squirrel/Rabbit Hunting?
When I go out for these little critters this fall, what shotshells do you recommend? And as some of you may know, I have a Remington 870 Express 2 3/4” and 3” chamber.
Also, what loads have worked for you?
